Itinerary

Day 1Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Your safari adventure begins with a scenic two-hour drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. As you enter the park, you’ll be greeted by the sight of endless golden savannahs stretching out before you, framed by the iconic baobab trees. Tarangire is home to a large elephant population, and you’ll have the opportunity to observe these majestic creatures up close as they visit the park’s life-giving river. You’ll also have the chance to spot other wildlife such as lions, leopards, cape buffalo, and a variety of antelopes.

Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch with a view of the river, and keep an eye out for the local monkey population who may try to steal your lunch! After lunch, continue your game drive through the park, with a chance to see endangered animals such as the Greater Kudu or the Fringe-Eared Oryx. In the evening, retire at Tarangire Baobab Tented Campfor a comfortable and peaceful night’s sleep.

Day 2Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater, often considered the 8th Wonder of the World. This breathtaking natural wonder is home to over 120 species of mammal, including the Big Five. You’ll have the chance to observe and photograph some of Africa’s most recognizable faces, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas. The crater is also a great place to see large numbers of wildebeest, zebras, antelopes, and cape buffalo. Keep your eyes peeled for the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal on the grassy plains, and large numbers of hippopotamus enjoying the cool water.

Explore the crater from the comfort of your open-top vehicle, and take in the stunning panoramic views of this unique landscape. In the evening, relax and unwind at Tarangire Tented Camp.

Day 3Lake Manyara National Park and Return to Arusha

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, known for its incredible wildlife and stunning scenery. The park is a photographer’s paradise, offering some of the best game viewing in the world. Look out for the tree-climbing lions, who lounge in the acacia trees and make for incredible photo opportunities. You’ll also have the chance to see a huge variety of birds, including large flocks of flamingos, circling birds of prey, and brightly colored lilac-breasted rollers.

In the afternoon, it’s time to head back to Arusha, reflecting on the incredible memories and experiences of your three-day safari adventure.
