Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1 Lake Manyara National park - Tree Climbing lions and Flamingos of Lake Manyara

You’ll be picked up from your hotel or place of stay in Arusha at 08:30 am and start a beautiful journey across the Great Rift Valley for a full-day game safari in Lake Manyara National Park. Although small in size (230 square kilometers), Manyara Lake is famous for its green scenery, varied bird life, and tree-climbing lions, hippos, and baboons. The landscapes of Lake Manyara cannot be described with words, and the game drives along the lake provide stunning photo opportunities for giraffes. At sunset, you’ll drive to sleep at the lodge of your choice and budget.

Accommodation options:

Day 2 Ngorongoro Crater - Rhinos Maasai and Lions of Ngorongoro

Start the day very early and descend into the crater floor for an incredible morning of wildlife in one of the most stunning places on Earth. Between game drives, there will be time for a picnic lunch near the beautiful hippo pool lake. This is a full-day game drive and again return to your accommodation for our evening meal.

Accommodation options:

Day 3 Tarangire National Park - Elephants and Big cats of Tarangire River

Tarangire National Park is particularly known for the abundance of Ancient Baobab trees (the largest trees on the continent) which fill the landscape and dwarf the animals next to them. The river of the park is full of wildlife ranging from a large variety of birds to lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and, of course, elephants. In fact, the park has the largest concentration of elephants in the whole country and provides unique chances to observe the interaction between elephant families. The lunch area is fascinating, boasting an observatory with amazing views of the river and wildlife (with good chances of seeing a hunt while having your picnic). In the afternoon, we will still do a game drive before continuing to your accommodation.

Day 4 Tarangire National Park - Walking safari and Game drives safari then back to Arusha

Spend the whole day in Tarangire National Park with a morning walking safari accompanied by a park ranger. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and up to six thousand elephants. The game drive takes us until 3:00 pm when we drive out of the park back to Arusha where you will be dropped off at the place of your choice, whether it’s the airport or a hotel in the city.

FAQ

What is the best time to go on a safari in Tanzania?

Tanzania offers incredible wildlife experiences year-round, but the best time depends on your interests.

  • June to October: Dry season, perfect for game viewing and witnessing the Great Migration in the Serengeti.
  • November to May: Green season, with lush landscapes, fewer crowds, and excellent birdwatching. The calving season in the Serengeti (January to February) is also a highlight.

Can I change the dates of my safari after booking?

Yes, we allow date changes, subject to availability and our booking terms. If you need to reschedule, please notify us as soon as possible. Changes made within a specific time frame (e.g., 30 days before departure) may incur an additional fee, depending on accommodations and services already reserved.

What is the cancellation policy for my safari?

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy allows flexibility depending on the notice period. For detailed terms, we’ll provide all booking conditions during the reservation process, ensuring transparency and peace of mind.

Our cancellation and refund policy is designed to offer flexibility:

  • 60+ days before departure: Full refund minus a small administrative fee.
  • 30–59 days before departure: 50% refund.
  • Less than 30 days before departure: Non-refundable.
However, we recommend travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations due to emergencies.

Can I modify my itinerary after booking?

Yes, you can request changes to your itinerary, such as adding activities, extending your stay, or altering accommodations. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional costs. Please contact us as early as possible to make adjustments.

How do I confirm my safari booking?

To confirm your safari booking, a deposit of 30–50% (depending on the package) is required at the time of reservation. The remaining balance is typically due 30 days before your safari begins. We’ll provide detailed payment instructions and receipts for your records.

Do I need travel insurance for my safari?
